Meeting with Gradinita Cu Program Prelungit Sotron
On September 5th, 6th, and 7th, the Romanian partner, Gradinita Cu Program Prelungit Sotron, was hosted at the School of Robotics headquarters in Genoa for three days of intensive training with the NAO robot.
The first day was spent discussing the project phases, how it was conducted by the Italian counterparts, and also showcasing the experiments carried out by the School of Robotics in Bogliasco and Santa Margherita Ligure. The educational objectives and methodologies were explained, and comparisons were made with educational approaches well-known in Romania but less familiar in Italy, such as Plan Jena, for example. The dedicated website was presented, describing the contents available for download in the different sections, as well as the programs.
In the second part of the day, NAO was introduced, including its hardware and Choregraphe program, as well as the possibility of connecting and controlling NAO directly through a browser.
The second and third days were entirely devoted to testing activities and ready-made programs, with the task of translating, in the Italian context, content suitable for children into Romanian and adapting activities for young children that could be simplified from an educational standpoint.
These were three productive days, where one of the main goals of Erasmus emerged: cultural exchange, sharing, and the strengthening of relationships.
